Caspar David Friedrich, Wanderer
above the Sea of Fog, 1818

I really have to practice saying goodbye. This blog is a
good place to start. If I don’t give it a formal goodbye, it will just continue
to wither here, pathetically. And then I’m the one who’s neglectful. Better
just to draw the line, give a good handshake, shed a tear, kill Old Yeller.
I can post upcoming shows here. Maybe I will. But I will
find other venues for more fleshed out writing.
When I started the posts, I was gnawingly insecure and
completely isolated in art. Now I’m more curious than desperately doubtful; and
I’ve found a few like-minded romantics. I even have a gallery. (For the moment,
these feel like turns for the best.)
Writing is good.

Finding the like-minded...the greatest gift for an artist. That's what this blog was for me. Sad to say goodbye! Keep us updated on future shows and I hope writing too.
Thanks for writing, BlackMomo. I appreciate it.
Molly Molly Molly, I will miss you. You are such a good writer, but I do understand. Best of everything. I'll keep your blog bookmarked so I can drop in time and again.
Thank you, LXV. Your comments through the years have meant a lot. Bests, MS
Loved the blog, and will miss it, but also hurrah for changes and evolutions and cathartic goodbyes when it's time. xx
